Family and Interests and Randomness, Oh My!
I was born and raised in St. Paul, MN, (Minneapolis's twin city) until 2006, when my family moved to Hastings, MN. I attended St. Agnes High School just a few miles from downtown St. Paul. I'm the oldest middle child out of six kids. I always had pets growing up and can't wait to finally live somewhere again where I can have a dog or cat!
Currently I live in the bottom half of a duplex in Aberdeen, SD, where I attended Northern State University and graduated in May 2012. In college I worked as an editor at the campus newspaper and did my work-study at the campus day care. I was a member of the Honors Program, English Club, Sigma Tau Delta (International English Honors Society) and History Club. This town and community grew on me so much that I would love to get a permanent job here and put down some roots for a while. I am currently employed as a team member at the local Target, where I work primarily in the backroom and on the sales floor. I also design the layout for A-Town Magazine, a young adult magazine in Aberdeen, and contribute to Dakotafire.
In my free time I am usually writing, sketching, or messing around in Photoshop. I am definitely a homebody. At almost all times I will be listening to music. I have no bias towards a certain genre; it all depends on my mood.
I am usually described as quiet and a little reserved until I am comfortable enough to open up. Contrary to what many believe, I am not shy. I simply prefer to listen and observe rather than be the center of attention. I have a dry, sarcastic sense of humor and a tough outer shell, but I honestly would never intentionally hurt anyone. If you have 99 problems, I will not be one of them.
